Actually, it's more of a "keep your fingers crossed" type of incoming. Roma had her date in Indiana last week with the handsome (and persuasive) Mr. Case. They had a blast and she's back home in Texas acting all Roma-ish once more (with what appears to be a healthy dose of out of whack hormones). Due date for puppies is approximately March 21, so keep those fingers crossed!
If you missed it on the Litters Page, Case is CH RTCH Revelaire State Your Case RTX NA NAJ NF JS-O RS-N GS-N STDd DNA-VP and has been blowing up the rings in conformation, agility, herding, rally, you name it! the past few years. Roma has been hitting the conformation rings while she grows up but now her focus will be on performance in the next year or two (mostly agility, girl likes to be moving!) These puppies will be basically super happy, super willing, super great companions and wonderful performance/versatility prospects. All colors are possible! Waiting list has started with some excellent homes waiting in the wings but we expect room for a few more active homes that want something happy but easily trainable. Contact me ASAP if you want updates on these little guys! Deposits will be taken when the litter is born. More information about our process can be found HERE.

I'm not a big resolution person so I'll just lay out what we're doing right now and where we're going in the short term! I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday and here's to all the awesome things in 2016!
Much of what has been happening on our end is simply horses, horses, and more horses! We hit a pair of recognized dressage shows and got our fancy pantsing on. We did pretty well both weekends and managed to qualify for BOTH year end Championships and it's only the first few months of the new "year!" Now to buckle down and work on training with the horses which means... TIME TO SHOW DOGS!
Striker went out last week with the handler and his first weekend showing will be this weekend in Missouri. We miss the fellow (and my main herding buddy!) but he needs to get this done asap and he'll be home quickly. Come on StrikerMan! My training business is putting on our first recognized Barn Hunt event with 4 trials the weekend of November 14 and so everything we're doing is working on that right now. Hopefully Eos will get her RATO title and I can apply for a judging position! I've started playing with who wants to start showing in Barn Hunt and so far Gracie (Papillon Mascot) and Georgie (Broadway's Elegant Design) are showing the most interest so we'll work on their training and see where it goes. The Aussies and Border Collies will be working on obedience/agility fundamentals and some herding as the weather is finally cooling off (but raining!) I'm itching to hit an agility trial but I'm just not seeing that in the cards until probably Spring 2016 and even then, I "should" hit the obedience rings with Georgie before then instead. Eos also wants to start tracking so unno. I need to figure out a way to make dogs my full time job and then they'd all be happy! :) I DID work on litter plans for next year and we're going to be working on some seriously fun litters. Hopefully I can get some things for myself out of one or more of these litters but my luck's not holding out well so I'm happy with one good prospect. There will be several opportunities to get EXCELLENT companions and really fun performance prospects out of each of our upcoming litters, so contact me if you're wanting to be on the email list! Deposits aren't taken until puppies are born and check out the litter's page for a link about how we place our puppies. 2016 LITTER PLANS Due to the business side of things, I'm really focusing on Barn Hunt to help that grow in this area. As such, most of my other activities are on hold (sorry agility!) but we're having such a blast I don't really mind! I'm sure at some point we'll hit an obedience or agility trial but in the meantime, RATS NEED TO BE FOUND!
My main dog I compete with is my young German Shepherd Dog, Eos. She's super awesome and sooo fun but she is young and we've steadily been working on things. This was her first weekend where it all clicked and boy did it ever! Eos was 4 for 4 on the weekend, finished her RATN title and got a leg in the Open class. She also earned 3 High In Class awards (one in the Open class even!) and just had a really great time earning a fistful of ribbons. We also attended the Friday Judge's Workshop which means once Eos gets her Open title (two more legs!) we'll be able to apply to be a Barn Hunt judge! Very exciting and fun weekend! Roma got her chance to play with the handler and while she showed like a rock star on the road, we decided to just pull her from the show circuit and focus on things here at the house. If you haven't met Roma, she's a fireball in a SMALL package and that's just not going to be super competitive right now in the Aussie show ring. She doesn't seem to mind as she's back to work and relaxing at the farm. Photos by Rachael Fayard.
In case you didn't know it, my training business (DogJoy Training LLC) is the only organized Barn Hunt club south of Dallas. This past week we put on a HUGE public event at the NRG Houston World Series of Dog Shows where we helped about 900! pairs of humans and their pups learn about barn hunt! My volunteers were rock stars and we were featured on the local TV and radio stations so there's a good chance you saw us or heard us! The dogs didn't have as much fun as they would have liked hanging out in the RV this time but it was a great event and so thrilled we got to show off this sport to so many people!
While my life has been filled with horse and barn hunt things, I sent Easy out with a handler (for the first time ever - talk about nervous!)! She's been out showing since May and in a VERY short time she finished her Championship so I said to keep her out there and she did! Easy is now Grand Champion JBK Easy Money! So proud of our girl!
Most of our updates for this Spring litter were posted on Facebook or via email rather than on here but here's a group of cuties heading to their new homes today! Happy trails guys and keep in touch! The black girl in the back will be staying with us to see if she has what it takes to be a superstar! Thanks to all the new owners, you guys rock!
Its almost time at Cirrus Aussies for that anxious and hopefully awesome puppy time! Sunday is huge and fit and looking ready to go. Hopefully she holds out until her due date on Monday as I have something going on on Saturday! We'll see what she has in mind, the actual due date is on Monday but she can go as soon as Friday and as late as Wednesday. Luckily I'm off all that week so there will be lots of time to spend with her and the puppies.
If you are interested in getting a puppy, please contact me ASAP. I have many people interested and will start taking deposits once the puppies are born (preference to previous Cirrus owners, then order received.. If you're really sure you're interested, please fill out the QUESTIONNAIRE here, check out our policies and procedures HERE as well as the LITTER INFORMATION. My email list has been getting distorted with Gmail, but I sent out all my pending drafts just now (sorry about that, sometimes "simplified" doesn't mean "easier as I swap from Yahoo mail to Gmail). You can also message me on Facebook (Elizabeth Robison in Bryan, TX). Phone calls are difficult for me to take due to my work/school/home happenings (which is why the number isn't listed on here). Thanks guys and we'll keep you posted next week!
