Weekend wrap up Geo was BOW/WB/BOS on Friday and Easy was BOW/BOS/WB Saturday and then I slept in today missing the Aussies and then was BOS/WB with Easy. We picked up a few points and the girls looked great! Getting ready for the big shows!
Its last Monday, Part Two!
Georgie and I went to Houston twice this weekend to compete in the HOTDOG training group's rally and obedience trials. This was for our Rally Advanced and Beginner Novice obedience titles we started on Monday.
On Saturday we got an 82 (massive exhausted handler errors and even an IP that I had done on Monday ugh!) but a first place rosette of awesome! In Beginner Novice I know we got something in the 190s... but not sure of the exact score. We also got 2nd place for that run
Sunday we repeated Saturday's runs (its like Groundhog Day for dog showing!) and Qed in both of those to finish our BN and RA titles. Our RA score was a 96 and 2nd place and our BN score was I think a 189.5 and third place.
Onto conformation this weekend and next and then... something else. Maybe Novice obedience and Rally Excellent? I'll have to sleep and then work that out. Thanks to the HOTDOG club for the lovely prizes and nicely run trial.
We found a fun Monday, yes, MONDAY only show nearby that we decided would be a good place to test out Georgie's obedience skills before the show season was in full force. The Am Staff people were having their National Speciality and had opened up 20 spots for "other breeds. We entered and made the cut to get in!
Georgie showed great and we had a lot of fun. In Rally Advanced A, she got 1st place with an 88 (out of 100) beating out several other entries. We would have gotten a 98 if I hadn't settled for an IP on a sign to work on motivation in the ring :) In Beginner Novice, she did EXCELLENT but overshot her figure 8, ended up face to face with the judge and opted to free stack for him instead of sitting. Silly thing! We did everything else just fine and earned an 88 and a 3rd place for our antics.
Just me, Beth, the person in charge of the Cirrus Crew! Reporting LIVE (or semi so!) on our happenings about the place and at shows.
