This past weekend we hit a semi-local UKC show in the hopes of finishing Georgie's championship. Cole was supposed to come along to show with Pierce in his first ever time in the Junior's ring but alas, after I got Cole all primped and pretty for the show, I let him jump off the grooming table and he tweaked something. Boo. I NEVER let my guys hop off the table for this reason so grr on me. Striker came along for the ride because I wanted to show more than one dog. I'm crazy like that.
Georgie got WB, BOW for 35 more points and a competition win to finish her Ch. She only needed 15 points and no competition to finish so this was a nice surprise. She showed well and we got to work on some obedience things in the ring. Sutton helped Pierce in Juniors for the first show and then Striker was the man in the second show. Both dogs did well for my kiddo! Striker was the only Border Collie entered so obviously went BOB but then he won Group 1 over about 7 other breeds and got a competition win and a bunch of points. He showed ok in the Best In Show ring but there was a lovely Doberman and German Shorthaired Pointed that were showing their hearts out and got BIS and RBIS. Since Georgie was finished, we let Pierce show Striker in Show 2 and then headed home!
