I have been around horses since I was 3 years old, begging someone to let the reins go because "I've got it!" Now over 30 years later and to my parents disbelief, I'm still going strong with my horse obsession. My first horse was bought on the cheap after 10 years of begging, annoying, and bartering anyone I could to even groom their horse and my parents finally giving up that I wouldn't "get over it". I trained this 8 year old mare religiously for four years and learned a lot while I worked my way up from fairly green to a Preliminary level trained horse on my own as a teenager. After my parents had me sell her as I headed off to college, I learned the hard way how much value good training adds to a horse. Over the years, I've embraced this concept and have enjoyed finding horses in a tough spot and rehabbing them to reach their potential and alter their pathway. Many of my projects are found at auctions, through word of mouth, heading to slaughter, or are in assorted Craigslist situations. I take them in, fix their training foundations, mental and physical health issues, retrain them as great mounts all while enjoying them as family members and friends.
Countless hours and money is put into these guys and while its sometimes tough, helping a horse find their way to a better life is immensely rewarding. In 2015, we look forward to our first home bred event prospect after years and years of rehabbing other horses, stay tuned for the fun! Below are short bios on the current horses we own as well as graduates, this doesn't include the countless hours of training I've done with other people's horses.
